Alaska Cruise aboard the Golden Princess May 2009

May 23, 2009 a group of old girl scout friends from back in 1960, and my now 85 year old girl scout leader who we call "Skipper", spent 7 days having a ball in Alaska. Beautiful ship, great meals and enjoying a beautiful part of our country.
Can you believe all the luggage for over 2000 people!? Boarding and disembarking were very well organized, except of course for the people who do not think they need to follow instructions or rules. This a view of Seattle Washington as we were leaving port on a beautiful clear day. This ship is another cruise ship still in dock. It was very difficult to get a photo of the Golden princess that we were on because it is so large I couldn't get far enough away from it. Great shot of an Orca whale in the Pacific Ocean in Alaska. We saw both Humpback and Orca this cruise which we were told is very unusual to see both this time of year.

I've always wanted to do that Alaskan cruise. It must have been wonderful.
