We visited the town called Graniteville in Vermont. These are carvings of headstones made by the exceptionally talented carvers of the 1800's. Look at them for the beauty without a morbid thought. Many of the carvers carved their own headstones because they were dying of lung disease from the dust of the marble created while carving. Not all of these photos of the headstones are for the carvers. I did not pay $10 for the brochure to see which ones are for the carvers. Click to enlarge and enjoy the detail of them.
